Like for so many Americans, Seletra’s career path took on a life of its own. Seletra didn’t grow up with the dream of becoming a real estate broker in Richmond, Virginia. After relocating to Virginia from Maryland to be closer to her grandmother and extended family, she was given the opportunity to work with a local agent while assisting her mother in making property investments around the city.

After successfully buying and selling homes in the Tri-Cities area, it became obvious that Seletra had a talent for the real estate business. In 2004, she obtained her salespersons license and went on to work with the same realty company which had helped her mother make numerous property investments, all of which turned a profit. It wasn’t long before Seletra was stacking awards such as ‘Top Sales Agent’, ‘Top Producer’ and ‘Agent of the Month’ on her living room shelf. After four stellar years as an agent, Seletra reached higher. In 2008, Seletra passed the exams and acquired the official title of Real Estate Broker. She was now qualified to start her own firm.

Elizabeth Road, Inc. was founded in honor of Seletra’s grandmother, Irene Elizabeth Johnson. Mrs. Johnson’s family owned quite a bit of land in Dinwiddie County, Virginia and Seletra always said that if she could name the road leading to her family’s property she would have named it Elizabeth Road. Seletra’s firm of the same name ensures her family’s legacy will live on. Seletra’s husband, Jason, was instrumental in helping the company get off the ground in its early stages. His financial and emotional support would help keep her dream alive, and he even got an education in real estate to help carry the business forward. It was Seletra’s mother, Deborah, that actively supported her life-long desire to own a business. And her mother not only encouraged her pursuit but funded it’s growth. Deborah raised Seletra to believe that every day is filled with possibilities and that with hard work and dedication possibilities are endless.

Lucas became acquainted and developed an interest in real estate starting in high school when he worked as a foreman for his father’s construction company. He worked for many contractors; flipping properties and learning about the local market.

Lucas applied and was selected to participate in our company's paid internship program. Over several months, we provided Lucas with hands-on training and real-life shadow opportunities to equip him for a successful career in real estate. Lucas completed the required coursework and passed his real estate exams, and is now a fully licensed Realtor®!

During his adolescent years, a glimpse into his future entrepreneurial journey became evident as he started several small businesses. Isaac’s willingness to try and fail has proved invaluable as he has evolved on his personal and professional development journey.

Isaac earned his B.S. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University as well as his Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Strategic Leadership from the University of Delaware. In 2018, he decided that he wanted to shift the trajectory of his life, and after countless hours of research, he determined that real estate would be the best pathway for him. He is a Class A General Contractor and the proud owner of the M&M Home Builders, LLC. which provides residential construction services to their investor and homeowner clients. Isaac is passionate about helping both new and experienced investors alike leverage real estate to generate long-term wealth. As a real estate investor himself, he is able to assist clients in all aspects of a real estate deal and help them evaluate options that best suit their needs based on his personal experience.
